More information about Checker Portal Wall Decal

The Checker Portal wall decal features a tall arch made of softly warped checkerboard squares. The clear, vertical contour and the regular 4×7 grid create a graphic portal that acts as an eye-catching architectural element in any space: minimal in geometry, retro in style, and surprisingly friendly thanks to the soft-edged squares.

Available in three proportional installation sizes (approximate external dimensions after installation): Small approx. 35 × 60 cm, Medium approx. 52.5 × 90 cm, and Large approx. 70 × 120 cm. Produced as a two-color wall cut plot with two separate color selections; the design is fixed, and the arrangement remains unchanged. On the production sheet, individual parts may be nested differently.

  • Two-color cut plot: Clearly separated layers for the base design and accent color.
  • Graphic portal effect: The vertical arch shape is perfect as a focal point above a console, sofa, or in the hallway.
  • Available in three sizes: Choose the right size class for your wall space.

Assessing Wall Design in the Room: Size, Sightline and Spacing

The desired effect is created by the relationship between the design, the open wall space and the existing furniture. Measure the usable width and height, and mark the planned outer contour at its actual size. Then view the position from the room’s typical viewing directions.

Consistent spacing connects individual pictures or designs into a harmonious composition. Take doors, windows, lights and furniture into account, as they may conceal parts of the wall. For wall decals, also check whether the specific surface is suitable according to the product information.

  • measure the usable wall area rather than the entire wall
  • simulate the design size with an actual-size outline
  • define the sightline and relationship to the furniture
  • take spacing and future use of the room into account
